Library Helper

Logan has been so curious about the return bins at the library. At first he thought that they were like garbage's and that the library had to buy all new books. Then after a stop at the bank he wanted to know if the library bins worked the same as the drive through at the bank with tubes and suction. So the other day we just happen to come out of the library right when the lady was going to empty the bins. Logan was so excited so I let him go and ask if he could watch. The sweet lady let him do everything. Unlock the bin, open them, put the books in her cart and re-lock them. He thought he was SO cool. So thanks nice lady for making my sons day.

Fish!!

Over the weekend Scott and a buddy went fishing. He came home with quite a haul of trout. The kids went berserk!! I don't think Aubrey has ever seen a dead fish and Logan was just excited that they were big and he could hold them. They were very slippery and they keep sliding out of his hands which was way funny. Aubrey likes to touch them but she had no interest in holding one. The only bad thing is now we are going to have to eat them. Scott loves them but not my favorite.

Logan's bad day!!

Last week we meet Kori and her kids and went shopping. By-the-way once Logan wanted Korty to come and play when I told him he lived to far away to come and play (Kori and family live in Grantsville about an hour from our house) Logan told me "Lets just go to the Target, I bet they will be there". Any way back to the story, we were shopping and we had told the boys that if they were good at the stores Logan could go and stay the night at Korty's house. They were so excited and were pretty good in the store. When we were finally done to told them that they had earned the sleep-over they took off running toward each other, wrapped their arms around each other for a Ya-Hoo hug. With the memento of them running as soon as they made contact the fell and Korty landed on top of Logan as Logan's teeth went through his bottom lip. Blood every where, they are both crying as we run Logan to the restroom to see the damage. It took about 10 min. to get the bleeding to stop and for Kori and I to decide that they probably wouldn't stitch it because it was 2 punchers holes. Well, I go in to super momma bear mode and decide that I need my hurt child home with me so and can care and dote on him. Both boys start crying again. So we promise them we will find another time for a sleep-over and I promise Logan a blue slushy from Sonic and he finally settles down.

I just think that this photo of him is so sad. He wouldn't take the paper towel off to show the gore of it all.

This is the next day. It is amazing how fast the mouth heals. Most of the injury is in the inside but again this is all he would give me.

So Big

Aubrey thinks she is SO BIG. After 2 day of eating nothing more than a couple of bit of random food I was starting to get freaked out. So yesterday for lunch, I being the gourmet cook that I am, heated up some chicken and stars. Again she wouldn't eat, I was getting so frustrated. As I was taking the bowl away Aubrey started doing the sign for "My turn". So I emptied out most of the soup and gave it and the spoon to her. She went to town then asked for more. She did this 3 times. We were both so excited, me because she was eating and her because she was so proud of herself. Here are the photo of the aftermath. I had cleaned up her tray before I thought to take the picture and it dose not show the pile of star noodles in her lap. Notice the stars stuck to her head.

Girls night out!!!

Last night I went with my great friends Barbra and Angie to dinner and a play. We ate at Ruby Tuesdays which isn't a big deal but to have a complete meal with out kids was a wonderful experience. We then went to the Hale Center Theater in West Valley and watched Into the Woods. This is my all time favorite play. If you haven't see it you are missing out. The music is amazing and the story is fun and heartfelt. One of my favorite lines in the play is "Nice is different than good". This is so true and a great life lesson. At Hale center Theater the stage is in the middle of the room and the seats go all the way round. It was amazing the stage moved in about 6 different way things came down from the ceiling and up from the ground and there was two spots in the stage where people appeared and disappeared. There is a Giant (from jack and the bean stock) in the story and when she walked (off stage) the entire place shook. You could feel it in your seat. So awesome.

It was so awesome to have time with friends and not worry about the little things at home that stress me out on a daily bases. And then to top it all off when I got home my wonderful husband had both kids bathed, in bed and a sleep!!!!! Wow, what a perfect night.

Halloween Photos

Everyone go right now to the Kiddie Kandids website http://www.kiddiekandids.com/freeoffer. They have a coupon for a free 8x10 photo. I am a sucker for anything free so Kori and I took the kids to get their pictures taken in their Halloween costumes. Did we just do this and are we insane? Yes, thanks for asking. They turned out so cute. I have never done Halloween pictures before but I think I am a fan (as long as I have a free coupon). Also I have to tell you, All the kids were done except Logan and we were having a hard time getting a good photo of him. The photographer lady had to step away for a min. to help another customer, so being the rebel that I am, started taking photos of Logan myself. And I have to say I did a pretty OK job. I don't think the lady was very happy with me though. So here are the Christensen's and Bunderson's again.

Logan - Luke Skywalker

Aubrey - Butterfly

Korty - Pirate

Sadie - Snow White

Jacob - Pumpkin

Aubreys Sleepy

We went out to lunch with some great friends after braving a Saturday at the Costco. Aubrey had had enough, sweet little thing.

Black Eye

Earlier in the summer Logan ended up with a black eye (Go back to July, I think, for full story). My sister Kori talked me into dressing him up in his hockey gear and getting his pictures taken. Well I did and they turned out amazing. I finally got them e-mailed to me. He looks amazing and these photos capture his personality amazingly. He is tough, sweet, crazy and passionate.

Magic

Logan wants to know how our bananas turned chocolate?

Halloween decorations

We love Halloween at the Christensen house. Last year Logan was sad that our house wasn't decorated. So I have been collecting since November 1 last year. I think I did pretty good. We (the kids and I) had a blast putting it all up. Aubrey's favorite is Tigger and pooh and Logan loves the spider webs (being that he did them all).

Trouble

We have an on going dilemma at our house. Logan either thinks he is Aubrey's dad and tries to discipline her himself (which he gets in trouble for) or he is a major tattle-tale (which he gets in trouble for). We can't seem to find a middle ground. So after a day of him getting in trouble for both actions, I was in the other room doing something or other when in brings me in my camera (he loves to take pictures and usually does a pretty good job) and shows me the below photo of Aubrey getting in the garbage (one of her favorite pastimes) and says "I am not tattling, just see what she is doing your self". I almost died laughing. I am sure glad God gave him to me.
