Logan's Injury

So Logan's injury, during Cleveland days they do "The ping-pong drop". A small airplan flies over the park and drops ping-pong balls of different colors and the kids scramble to get them because you turn them in for prizes. Well, on the second pass the airplane missed and dropped all the ball in the road. All the kids ran to the road to get them, logan and another boy went to pick up the same one and the boy pushed Logan into a parked car!!! His eye was black before he stood up, poor thing. Luckily he is the tuffest kid I know and after a brief freak out was jusy fine.

This picture was taken 3 days later. Why it took me that long to take a picture is beyond me. It got worse in the days to follow but is looking better now.

I don't know if these things will ever stop growing. They don't have their flowers yet so they must not be done.

24th of July

We celebrated our 24th of July in Cleveland. It really is the funniest small town celebration ever. Lost of fun and games and races. Logan missed the 3 year old race because of an injury during the ping-pong drop (story to come) so he raced with the 4 year olds and still came in 3rd (Go Logan!). Logan and Scott entered the balloon toss and did great for their first try. The parade was fun and the food was good and it was very hot. Intact the fire department turned their hoses on and sprayed the park just to cool everyone down.

Scott's Invitation

This is an invatation for a baby shower bbq that Scott and I gave for some friends of ours. Joy works with Scott and is in my book club and her husband Josh is a really good friend of Scott's and plays poker with him in his poker group. So we invited all the people from Scott's work and the poker guys. So my husband sends out an e- mail to everyone at his work inviting them to the shower. It is sooo funny I had to share it with everyone. I love my husbands wit and am glad when he reminds how fun he can make my life.

Heres the e-mail.......

As you all know Joy is expecting, so we have decided to have a BBQ next Friday the 11th @ 7:00 PM @ my house in Riverton. I will be providing the meat hot dogs, hamburgers, deer, elk, moose etc. (actually whatever I can find). If you want to bring a salad, some chips, shrimp ring or even some caviar that would be cool, but not expected. Also, please bring what ever you want to drink, unless you will drink unfiltered water from a back yard garden hose; as that will be provided as well.

We would like to invite you & and your significant other(s). This is going to be very informal. If you would like to bring a gift for the baby, Joy, Josh or even me that would be cool, but again not required. Josh has agreed to open all the presents sitting on a chair in front of everyone and also to personally send out thank you cards. (Especially if you give large denominations of cash)

My address is:
2593 Dry Creek Drive
Riverton, UT 84065

I think it will be fun but please let me know who is planning on coming so I can go hunting early next week.

Logan's puzzle

Aunt Kori found Logan this Awesome puzzle with his name on it. He thinks it is the coolest thing next to hockey. He is really good at putting it together and loves asking people to help him, but doesn't tell them it has his name on it so they will be suprised (namely his grandma). Good find Aunt Kori.

Awesome Saturday with the Parks

This last Saturday we were invited to a swim party and BBQ at our friends house Jeremey and Angie Park. Jeremey plays poker at Scott's weekly game and we were just recently able to meet Angie and their darling daughter Ember (2 1/2 with long red hair to die for). Thay had the coolest water slide that the kids and adults had a blast on. We had a wonderful BBQ lunch and just hung out in the front yard. They have a huge pine tree that provided plenty of shade and they put out a bunch of blankets and pillow for everyone to just lounge on in between turns on the water slide. Thanks Jeremey and Angie we had a great time.

This photo was taken on the 5th of July. Thay are as tall as he is!!!!!

4th of July

This years 4th of July was pretty lazy but enjoyable. The Riverton parade is always the night before and we meet a bunch of friends and caught a lot of candy and sweated even more (it was so hot!!). Luckily we brought and bought (from little kids selling it out of wagons for $.50 a bottle) plenty of water and Logan brought a squirt-bottle that kept us all cooled down a little.

The next day we hung out and nothing until the afternoon when we meet up with my mom and went to the booth and such in Sandy. The booths were lacking, but they had tons of those bug blowup slides and climbing thing for kids so Logan had a ball. His favorite was an obstical (sp?) course that ended under a giant gorilla. Again it was super hot. In fact the fire department were giving out icepacks to keep everyone cool.

That night we went to the riverton fireworks. We sat out side the Arctic Circle which rocked because you could see the fireworks perfect, there were a lot less people and we just ran inside and bought ice cream. I hope the below pictures tell the story better than I do.

This is one of the only clowns I have seen that wasn't creepy. The kids really liked her and she was super nice.

The fire department (I think) gave EVERY kids one of these plastic hats. These are all the fun kids that were hanging out with us. The Barths have Gavin, Garrett and Cassia (the dark haired children). The Palmers have Easton (the little boy by Logan) & Carter (not shown).

Zoo with Friends

OK I haven't sat down to blog for a couple of weeks and a lot has happened. So you are going to get everything at once.

At the first of July Me and kids went to the zoo with my very best friends from college. Monica and Lisa and I took almost every class together in college and all graduated with the same degree. I love them so much and now that we are all married and have kids and jobs we don't jet to get together very often so it is a real treat when we get to.

This is Lisa and her darling daughter Ava, she also had a beautiful 5 year old daughter Karmen and unfortunately I didn't end up with a photo of her.

Here is Monica and Colt. Isn't he handsome.

We all had so much fun and it was a perfect day. We caught a bunch of shows and seen thing my kids had never seen before.
The zoo workers were walking around with different things and letting the kids touch them. Aubrey really wanted to pick up this Ggiant African Centipede. It felt like it was made of plastic.

Every time we go to the zoo the tiger is always sleeping. This time he was awake and hanging out in the water right by the glass. The kids were loving it.
