Aubrey's New Bed

We converted Aubrey's crib into a toddler bed and she loves it!!! I always rock her to sleep and last night she didn't want me to because she wanted to be in her bed. So sad but kinda nice to have the extra time, even if it only was 10 min.

Jazz Game

Last Thursday while Logan was at Aunt Kori's and Scott had to work late again us girls went to the Jazz game. My great friend, Monica has season tickets to the Jazz and couldn't go, So, me Barbra and Aubrey went to the game our self. We had a blast, we were giggling so much the parking attendant swore we high and couldn't believe we would do that with a kid. Trust me we were not. The best part of the game was half-time. This dancing group of ladies, ages 50-92, did this hilarious sexy old lady dance. Then at the end the 92 year old started doing a solo. This granny was cutting a rug, I was afraid she was going to break a hip and then she did the splits!!!! Not the lazy half splits, I mean she looked like a high school cheerleader. Then the Jazz bear carried her off the floor, new bride style, she was doing the beauty queen wave the whole way off. She was Awesome.

It was nice to jut be with the girls. We with everyone else not even knowing what we were cheering about half the time. Aubrey loved all the clapping and yelling and was doing it right there with the rest of us. Thanks Monica for a fun night.

Easiest Chicken Soup

This is the best, easiest chicken soup recipe I have ever made. Just remember adjust the ingredients to your taste and family size.
I will put the approximate amounts that I use and it feeds my family twice.

First brown chicken breasts (2) in your soup pot No need to dirty 2 dishes.
When they are browned (even if they are not cooked through) add canned chicken broth (5)
Sliced carrots ( 1 1/2 cups), diced celery (3/4 cup), dried parsley (1Tbsp.).
Let simmer until veggies are cooked through.

Take Chicken out and set aside. Add frozen cheese tortellini (2 cups) (do not use dry pasta, they will soak up all the broth). Bring to simmer. Cut up chicken in 1 inch cubes and return to soup. When tortellini is cooked, eat up!!!!

So easy, so good for you, so yummy!

Cow Boy

Over the weekend Logan went and stayed at my sisters house. He loves it there to say the least. Aunt Kori lets him pay hockey in the house, jump on the bed and the couch and eat in front of the TV. Yes, Aunt Kori is WAY cooler than his mom. Kori and Brad also have a farm. They took the kids out to help Uncle Brad feed the cows. This made paradise Heaven. He got to stand in the back of the truck while it was going and use a pitch fork to throw the hay off while the cows followed close behind. Kori told me "Watch out Logan (the city kid) might have some manure in his blood after all". Needless to say he ended up calling and begging to stay another night and trying to gain back some of my son's affection, I told him yes. He still cried when I picked him up.

Thank you Kori for being a great aunt and sister and for sending me the photos!!

Morning with Daddy

This is what happens to the kids when they bother their Dad while he is getting ready for work.

Zoo in Winter

Yesterday Barbra and I took the kids to the zoo. The zoo in winter rocks. There were more workers than people. The kids ran wild and so did a lot of the animals. The monkeys were so much fun, they were wrestling and doing flips off the branches. The kids were not crowded by other kids it was so laid back. We were there for 3 1/2 hours.

After we got home I went down to change the laundry and came back up to Logan asleep like this. Cutie pie.

Ready for NASCAR

OK, my husband is a NASCAR freak!!!! Not only do we subscribe to all the speed channels, we have an infield camping spot for the Vegas race (for those non-NASCAR lovers, that is a camping spot in the middle of the track) but now look what he has done to our trailer. Again for the non-NASCAR obsessers, this is a viewing platform. It is to be used at the race for a better viewing experience. My husband and a few of his most classy friends will sit on top of this thing in lawn chairs (probably with their shirts off) and cheer for the racer of their picking. In my husbands case it will be #88 Dale Earnheart Jr. If you look really close in the corners the welders have fabricated little #88 race cars for some manly decoration. He also plans on putting christmas lights on all the rails so at night the party can just keep-on keeping-on!!! Have a blast Sweetie.

Ice Fishing

Over the weekend Scott took Logan Ice fishing for his first time. They fished until midnight when they finally decided it was time for bed and Logan told me, his toes were REALLY cold. Then got up at 6:00 a.m. to fish some more. They are crazy!! For corse dad didn't take any pictures, So I only know what really went on from what I have heard. But when they got home Logan was SO tired, he had a melted snow boot and they had caught one big fish!!! Scott even let Logan gut the fish, it was the highlight of the trip.
