Wicked

On Saturday a HUGE group of friends and family went to the Capital Theater and saw Wicked. It is amazing!! For those of you that are completely out of the loop, Wicked is a broadway musical about the story of how the Wicked Witch of the West (From the wizard of OZ) became wicked. It really is worth the crazy prices for the tickets. If you can get tickets GO!
If was fun to be with so many amazing women.

Easter
This post is a little late but I need to post it for the memories of it.
Easter at our house was fun. On Saturday we made easter nest cupcakes (chocolate frosting, green coconut and jelly beans) and decorated eggs.

Then of course the Easter bunny came on Sunday. Logan got some Spiderman stuff and just kept saying "The Easter bunny knew just what I would like!". Aubrey was just excited that there was candy.

I then took the kids to a local Christian church so they would know that Easter isn't all about bunnies and eggs. They loved it.

We had Easter dinner (BBQ) and I made an Easter cake. Aren't you impressed.

After the egg hunt Scott had the great idea to throw the eggs over the house and try to catch them (Something he use to do as a child). Well, the first egg came over the house and the kids just started crying because the egg broke. They didn't even try and catch them, they were so mad that they were breaking. And as each one broke they just cried harder. It was quite the site.
Over all a good day.

Sleep in your own bed
Aubrey wakes up EVERY night and wants to sleep in our bed and I let her. I know I shouldn't but she is my baby so whatever. So the other day I walked in to this.

My very logical husband is trying to make her jealous so he can explain to her that as much as she doesn't like him in her bed he doesn't like her in his. Well it didn't work, she put the blanket on him and is telling him good night. It was a good idea though.

First Baseball Game of the Season

Last night was Logan first baseball game, it was suppose to be the second but the first one was SNOWED out. Logan in on the Twins and has an amazing coach. It was freezing but only the parents noticed. It even started hailing in the middle of the game and then when there were two players left to bat the sun came out in all her glory.
We played Logan up this year so he could be in coach pitch instead of t-ball a third time. He did awesome. The way they do it is every kid gets 4 balls pitched from the coach and if they do not hit the ball they get to try off the T. Logan hit all 3 times up to bat and he hit it good, pop-up flys just past short stop (and of course no one was there to catch them).

The best part is the fielding. They all just stood in a huddle on pitchers mound and then all dove for the ball in a huge dog-pile every time. The last thing the coach said after telling the kids how good they all did etc. was "We will have a practice next Wednesday and work on fielding."
Logan is the one with the red hoody over his hat on the left.
Down on the Farm
Monday night Korty came and spent the night, the boys played baseball with Scott, we roasted hotdogs and then the boys slept in the basement in the pup-tent (with Scott in the bed close by). And like a slacker I didn't get any photos. So the next day we took Korty home and this is where my kids fun started. Kori and Brad are, to say it simply Farmers. They have a baby lamb that was born premature living in their living room, last week it was a calf. They have a lot of cows and grow a lot of alfalfa. So Aunt Kori took us touring. They got to hold the baby lambs and in Aubrey's case kiss them.

Kori and Brad have found that it is easier to keep track of the cows if they name them. Earlier in the spring Kori called because they had had 3 calfs born over night and they wanted my kids to have a turn to name them. The kids were so excited. And now we finally got to meet them.
So of course Logan named him cow Anakin.

And Aubrey a sweet as she is named hers (all by her self) Lemonade.

They have a mama cow that is super nice named Michelle. Uncle Brad let all the kids take turns sitting on her. Aubrey was a little scared but didn't want to miss her turn. Logan and Korty pretended they were riding a Bull.

We finished the afternoon off with ice cream and biking riding at Aunt Kori's little blue house (as Logan calls it). It is good when the Country Sis and the City Sis get together. Thanks Aunt Kori and Uncle Brad.

All Goofed up!
The weather here has been horrible. It is more December than April. Any way the kids and I had to go to a local park to pick up Logan's Baseball shirt (complete with name on back). While we were there I started talking to team mom (a good friend of mine) and the kids started acting crazy, silly, load, etc, etc, etc.
I say to the lady "I am so sorry, my kids are just so sick of being cooped up." Later after we left Logan says to me "I am sorry I am so silly, I am just all "Goofed" up".
