Down on the Farm

Monday night Korty came and spent the night, the boys played baseball with Scott, we roasted hotdogs and then the boys slept in the basement in the pup-tent (with Scott in the bed close by). And like a slacker I didn't get any photos. So the next day we took Korty home and this is where my kids fun started. Kori and Brad are, to say it simply Farmers. They have a baby lamb that was born premature living in their living room, last week it was a calf. They have a lot of cows and grow a lot of alfalfa. So Aunt Kori took us touring. They got to hold the baby lambs and in Aubrey's case kiss them.

Kori and Brad have found that it is easier to keep track of the cows if they name them. Earlier in the spring Kori called because they had had 3 calfs born over night and they wanted my kids to have a turn to name them. The kids were so excited. And now we finally got to meet them.

So of course Logan named him cow Anakin.

And Aubrey a sweet as she is named hers (all by her self) Lemonade.

They have a mama cow that is super nice named Michelle. Uncle Brad let all the kids take turns sitting on her. Aubrey was a little scared but didn't want to miss her turn. Logan and Korty pretended they were riding a Bull.

We finished the afternoon off with ice cream and biking riding at Aunt Kori's little blue house (as Logan calls it). It is good when the Country Sis and the City Sis get together. Thanks Aunt Kori and Uncle Brad.

You have to invite me again next time you go- Carter's new favorite noise is the cow's moo so he'd love it!
