Lake powell
We went to Lake Powell over the UEA Weekend. We went to Page and spent 3 days Swimming, skiing, hiking and fishing.

Aubrey started school
Aubrey started pre-school this year. She is going to challenger like Logan did and she is loving it. Her favorite thing is show-and-tell.
This is her on the first day of school. She was SO excited. She had been waiting along time for her turn to go to school.

In September they had westeren days at school. They got to dress up and put on a cute little program for all the parents. They for snack they got flap-jacks and roadted marshmallows over a fake fire.

Kindergarten

This week Logan started kindergarten. This is the day I have been dreading since he was born. But he was AWESOME, he could not have been more ready (even if I wasn't).
On the first day they made pirate hats and learned all the new rules. Logan was also happy to discover that 2 of his friends from pre-school were in his class. He was assigned to the green table (with all girls he informed me) and found his home base (His chair, complete with name tag). He informed me that kindergarten was WAY funner than pre-school. We celebrated after with a trip to McDonalds with his good friend Easton who also started kindergarten that day at a different school.
On the second day he was even selected to be the first "Lucky Duck" of the year. This is a very prestigious honor in the kindergarten world I have come to understand. He was the teachers special helper for the day. He got to be the line leader, turn the lights on and off when they went to recess and change the date on the calendar to name a few. When he came out of class I said "Hey Bud how was school?" and he replied "Today don't call me Bud, call me Lucky Duck!". He was so proud.

Logan and his teacher Ms. Asay. The sun was in their eyes.

A VERY Proud Mom.

This is the door for kindergarten and 1st grade only. Very exclusive.

We got a BOAT!!!!!!!

Ok, I know it was been FOREVER since I last posted, I am sure you all are just devastated. Now for the great news (if you haven't heard), WE GOT A BOAT!!!!!!! It is a 2005 18.5' Bayliner.
I am so excited I could just scream, actually I did. Scott and I have been looking for a long time and finally one that meet all of our requirements.
We took it out this past weekend for the first time and had a blast. We went to Strawberry Reservoir with our good friends the Palmers. Scott and Kevin wake-boarded, I skied, the kids jumped off the swim deck about a million times, Logan caught a fish, we trapped a ton of crayfish, saw deer and just had an all around great time.
I am so glad that we will be able to give our kids some of the awesome memories that I have of my childhood. We have already started planning a trip to Lake Powell in September. YAH!!!!

Christmas Program
Yesterday was Logan's Christmas program at school. All the kids wore little red scarfs and sang a bunch of songs that they had learned throughout the year. Then it ended with Christmas songs and a visit from Santa (who my kids were very suspicious of because he didn't look like the Santa from the mall). All the kids drew pictures of them selves and then put them in frames, they gave these to their parents along with an ornament they had made. They even decorated a bag to put the presents in.

A Christmas Story
Scott's Uncle Warren works for The Pioneer Theater up at the U. He was so kind to give me tickets to this years production of "A Christmas Story". So Thrusday night Logan and I want on a date. He picked where we ate so we dined at McDonald's before the show.
The show was wonderful and was very true to the movie. Logan had a really good time and enjoyed the play as much as I did. It was great to have mine with just me and him. At one point in the show it starts to snow on the stage. Logan leans over and says to me "Mom that is just soft stuff they use to look like snow, its not real. And if there is anything else you want me to expliane to you just let me know." He is so beyond his years.
Thank you Uncle Warren!!!
