Happy Birthday Logan!!!

My wonderful little man turned 5 on September 7th.

This year his birthday landed on Labor day, so he ended up with a 3 day birthday celebration. On Monday our little family with Grandma B gave him his presents first thing in the morning. All he wanted was "Spiderman stuff" and that is exactly what he got, he spent the entire day playing with them. . Then that evening we had cake and Ice-cream, ordered pizza and had movie night (Scooby-Doo meets Batman and Robin).

Then on Tuesday we had his Birthday party. It was Spiderman mania. We all meet at the park where the kids had a water balloon fight, played spiderman tag and tried to knock spiders off the table with splash balls. I think the kids had fun. Logan has a great group of friends and he LOVED, LOVED all his presents (Thank you all again!).

Finally, Wednesday (his first day back to school) he was given a special spotlight. He got to lead the class in the pledge, then his teacher read from a sheet all about Logan that they had sent home for me to fill out. He stood up in front of the class and passed around some photos of himself as a baby and of the family. They gave him a special crown sang to him and let him pick a prize from their treasure box. He picked a whistle.

We love Logan and are so lucky to have him as part of our family. He keeps us on out toes and laughing. I am glad that he is mine.

Dentist Check ups

I know that going to the dentist is not a huge deal and every body goes through it, but #1 I just got a new camera and everything is picture worthy and #2 this time neither of my kids had any caviteies!!!!! Again you my say big deal, well if you could see the kicking and screaming we go through every day to get their teeth brushed you would know why. Finally all the hard work is worth it.

They were both really good for the dentist. They both had to take their build-a-bear animals with them, but the furry friends kept them brave.

Aubrey hated the floride that they brush on their teeth.

Fall Baseball

Have I told you that I LOVE little boy baseball? Well if not, I DO! These little boys are the funniest things in world to watch. At the first they are all serious and as the game goes on they start day dreaming or having grass fights or dog pileing to get the ball. Half have to pee and they rest are being screamed at by their very serious dads to "Keep their eyes on the ball". I love it all!

Luckily Logan likes it to. He is pretty good and has some great friends on the team. I have also meet some wonderful women on the sidelines.

This is Logan playing 3rd base. They don't get people out so why not take a break?

This is Logan on base. He usually has to be reminded to run to the next base because he is to busy chit-chatting with the players from the other team.

Now when it comes to batting he is very serious. HE LOVES to bat. His entire goal is to "SLAM IT". And when he does, his chest swells, he give the entire crowd the double thumbs up and talked about it the rest of the night. As he should. Did I mention that I LOVE little boy baseball?

Aubrey's First Day of Dance!!

Aubrey has been doing Kindermusik since she was 4 months old and she and I loved it. This year due to personal reasons her wonderful teacher Miss Paulette decided not to teach. So when I asked Aubrey what she wanted to do instead she didn't hesitate when she said DANCE!!!

SO after much, much, much research I finally found a class that allowed two years in and was held while Logan was at school. And how funny that the dance studio just happens to be owned by Miss Paulette's sister. Small world.

Aubrey could hardly stand waiting to go. We went to the studio a month ago to sign up and she asked me constantly whether or not we could go to dance that day. She was so excited when the day finally came, she was smiles the entire morning.

The door to the studio is purple (obviously) and she thinks its "Awesome". And I am in love with her darling outfit.

This is Miss Amber her teacher. She is cute and bubbly and has her hands full with a bunch of toddlers.

I am pretty sure she was having a blast. She followed directions pretty well and was an obvious leader in the class. She has no reservations and loads of self confidence (I wish I did). I think it is going to be a fun year.

Bow Hunting

This last weekend our little family went camping for the opening of the bow hunt. Camping at this time of year is my favorite. The weather is sunny with the crisp of fall (my favorite season) in it. Not to hot not to cold. The kids had a blast. They collected bugs, played in a creek, rode on the 4-wheeler & ate insane amounts of junk food.

Logan is growing up way to fast and in true LeRoy fashion was obsessed with hunting. He and his dad hunted deer, ground dogs, birds, and what ever else they could find. They even ran into a badger but decided not to shoot it. He loved it all. He has a bow & pocket knife of his own (neither of which I had any say in) and thinks himself the mightiest if hunters. My cousin Vince even taught him to start a fire (please pray for my house).

Scott and Logan got up early on opening morning and Scott missed a spike x 3. He wanted to kill one with Logan so bad that he rushed it and missed but later that morning my cousins son found the same deer and killed it. This is that funny little deer.

Aubrey and I had a great time just hanging out together while the boys were hunting. It was a lot of fun and a great family tradition.

New Members of the Family

We got two new bunnies!!! Are we crazy? Yes! My kids have been begging for a pet for a while now and always for a cat or a dog. Then a couple of weeks ago Logan changed his mind and started asking for a rabbit. Scott thought this was a great idea and now we have two French Lop rabbits. They are so cute. They are the size of a small adult cat and are still babies. They will be around 12 lbs. when fully grown. We figured the bigger they are the less likely that kids will hurt them and that the rabbits would be able to squeeze under the fence.

Logan named this guy Copper. Both of his ears flop to the same side and he is so mellow. He follows Logan around and lets him carry him all over the place.

Aubrey named this one Raccoon (silly girl). He is a little more spry but still super sweet. He is very fast and lets the kids chase him. He like to lay on his back and get his belly rubber like a dog.
