Bow Hunting

This last weekend our little family went camping for the opening of the bow hunt. Camping at this time of year is my favorite. The weather is sunny with the crisp of fall (my favorite season) in it. Not to hot not to cold. The kids had a blast. They collected bugs, played in a creek, rode on the 4-wheeler & ate insane amounts of junk food.

Logan is growing up way to fast and in true LeRoy fashion was obsessed with hunting. He and his dad hunted deer, ground dogs, birds, and what ever else they could find. They even ran into a badger but decided not to shoot it. He loved it all. He has a bow & pocket knife of his own (neither of which I had any say in) and thinks himself the mightiest if hunters. My cousin Vince even taught him to start a fire (please pray for my house).

Scott and Logan got up early on opening morning and Scott missed a spike x 3. He wanted to kill one with Logan so bad that he rushed it and missed but later that morning my cousins son found the same deer and killed it. This is that funny little deer.

Aubrey and I had a great time just hanging out together while the boys were hunting. It was a lot of fun and a great family tradition.

New Members of the Family

We got two new bunnies!!! Are we crazy? Yes! My kids have been begging for a pet for a while now and always for a cat or a dog. Then a couple of weeks ago Logan changed his mind and started asking for a rabbit. Scott thought this was a great idea and now we have two French Lop rabbits. They are so cute. They are the size of a small adult cat and are still babies. They will be around 12 lbs. when fully grown. We figured the bigger they are the less likely that kids will hurt them and that the rabbits would be able to squeeze under the fence.

Logan named this guy Copper. Both of his ears flop to the same side and he is so mellow. He follows Logan around and lets him carry him all over the place.

Aubrey named this one Raccoon (silly girl). He is a little more spry but still super sweet. He is very fast and lets the kids chase him. He like to lay on his back and get his belly rubber like a dog.

Cowabunga Bay

Friday my mom and I took the kids to the new water park in Draper. It was a blast. We had so much fun and it is SO build for kids of every age. Logan could go on every slide and Aubrey all but two. It is fun because while you are waiting in line for a turn on the slide there are water hoses and water canons so you can have water fights with people waiting for a different slide or with each other. You are never dry that is for sure. They loved the kiddie pool and the lazy river also. We were there for 3 hours and we were exhausted. A suggestion for anyone planning on going, go right at 10:00 a.m. because it got really busy after 1:00. We will definitely go back.

Dress up

The other day I told my kids to go and get ready to go the store and this is how they came out. I love it!!! They got tons of compliments as they should of.

The down side to no training wheels

So one of the many things that did not get blogged about the last two months is that my 4 year old has learned to ride a bike with out training wheels. This came pretty easy to him and he thinks of himself as a pro. He also thinks it is very lame that I make him wear a helmet. Well, he has learned the hard way this is a good rule. He had his first major crash. Oh the drama!!!! Poor little thing wanted to know if he was going to have to go to the hospital. So sad but I think he was a little glad that he had his helmet on.

Way to long & Potty Training

It has been way to long and I have to many things that I need to blog about that I just keep putting the huge (and ever growing) task aside. So I am just going to have to start new today because if not I will never catch up.

So I am potty training Aubrey and she is doing great with pee but hates the poo part of it all. It has only been a week and she already telling me she has to go instead of having to always ask her. Logan took forever to do this. But for the last week all I have done is eat, sleep and dream of pee. Everything I see is wet and yellow. At least you know that it will all be worth it!!

The only way I can get her to go "#2" is to strip here, put the potty in the living room and just make her sit there and watch a movie until the deed is done. It drives Scott nuts but it works for now.
