Christmas Program

Yesterday was Logan's Christmas program at school. All the kids wore little red scarfs and sang a bunch of songs that they had learned throughout the year. Then it ended with Christmas songs and a visit from Santa (who my kids were very suspicious of because he didn't look like the Santa from the mall). All the kids drew pictures of them selves and then put them in frames, they gave these to their parents along with an ornament they had made. They even decorated a bag to put the presents in.

A Christmas Story

Scott's Uncle Warren works for The Pioneer Theater up at the U. He was so kind to give me tickets to this years production of "A Christmas Story". So Thrusday night Logan and I want on a date. He picked where we ate so we dined at McDonald's before the show.

The show was wonderful and was very true to the movie. Logan had a really good time and enjoyed the play as much as I did. It was great to have mine with just me and him. At one point in the show it starts to snow on the stage. Logan leans over and says to me "Mom that is just soft stuff they use to look like snow, its not real. And if there is anything else you want me to expliane to you just let me know." He is so beyond his years.

Leaves are falling

Every year our 3 big trees in front of the house all loose their leaves on the same day. So every year we get to play in them.

I couldn't get both kids to look at me at the same time so here is a photo of logan looking and one of Aubrey looking. I also added a small video clip of them playing in the leafs and again it is mostly for my mom but enjoy it if you like.




I think it was cute that they wanted to hold hands when they jumped in.

Help with a Contest

I am a contestant in a contest at a new store called "Persnippity" in the SouthTowne Mall. Who ever refers the most people into the store wins a $500.00 gift certificate to the store. So if you happen to be in the mall and wouldn't mind just walking in the store and telling them that I sent you, that would be great. It is located right out side of the downstairs entrance to JC Pennys.

Bronco Game

Last Monday, Scott was given a great opportunity to go to the Monday night Denver game against the Steelers. His tickets were on the 6th row!!! He went with my cousin Jake and they meet another cousin Sean (I have a TON of cousins). Unfortunately the Broncos blew there lead in the 4th quarter and ended up loosing, but who cares when you are on the 6th row (Jake did, he lives and breaths Denver football).

This is him showing how big the stadium is. He is looking a little happy and I am sure the beer in his hand has nothing to do with it. ;)


I think that the cheerleaders were his favorite part. Why you ask, because there was 4 photos of the cheerleaders and not one of the players.

Trick-or-Treat

Here is a lost photo of the kids trick-or-treating. We went with the Feland family this year and it was so much fun. Gabriel is 6 months older than Logan (they are such good friends) and Shaylie is only 4 months older than Aubrey so they are our perfect match. The girls went home after a couple of streets (No trunk or treat around here. They work for their candy.) but the boys were die hards. I bet they went to 50 houses easy. Finally they started complaining that their bag were to heavy so we (Chrissy & I) made them head for home. I think it was a great Halloween.

Halloween Fun

October at our house is the busiest month of the year. We did so much and had such great times. Here is the highlights.


When we went for a brief visit to grandma's house of course she had Halloween PJs for the kids (She has new PJs for the kids every time they visit).



We made pumpkin cupcakes with carmel frosting, YUM!!! The kids took turns adding the ingredients and were pretty proud when they were done. The kids love it when they get to decorate them their selves.


I found this fun plate that had a darling poem on it about being a Halloween spirit and passing the spirit on to friends, so we filled the plate with treats and dressed in out best sneaky night cloths and delivered the plate to a family on our block. It was fun to sneak around and run and hide. Scott even thought that it was fun (He usually opts out of stuff like that).




We spent an afternoon at Gardner Village to hang out with the Witches. Grandma and Aunt Kori w/kids came with us and we had a blast. Aubrey slept through most of it.


We went and spent a weekend in Logan to go to the Pumpkin walk. We had so much fun hanging out with out friends and hope to make it a tradition.

Halloween morning I made a spooky breakfast.. pumpkin pancakes, bat shaped sausage and a melted ghost (marshmallow cream) for dipping.
