Day at the Farm

On Wednesday we went to play group at Wheeler Farm. The kids had a blast. It was a perfect day and the animals were all over the place. The sheep were eating hay right from the kids hands and the ponies like the leafs. We were in the little store buying tickets for the wagon ride and a large gentleman came and was in line between me and one of my friends. We didn't think anything about it but when he got done paying he turned to us and says "I am the farmer around these part and I want to give these candy bars to these great kids". Where he gave all our kids a candy bar. I loved it because a guy that would normally be intimating to kids was very kind to them. What an awesome guy. We then rode the wagon and sang "Old McDonald had a farm the whole time, I am sure annoying everyone else on the wagon. Then the kids were having stick races under the little bridges. It was a great day at the farm.

Bubbles, Bubbles everywhere

So I decided to add bubbles to the bath tub the other night and the kids freaked out (It has been along time since I have done this and never while Aubrey has been here). They had so much fun. They thought they were in heaven. They used the bubbles to make beards, hair, cloths and food. Here are some fun pictures. I swear the one of Logan is how he is going to look as an adult.

Because it was Logan;s birthday he got his free picture at Kiddie Kandids so I took Aubrey there also. We went with Kori and her kids because two of her kids have birthdays around the same time as Logan's (Jacob & Sadie) and then she got so coupons for the other two (Korty & Aubrey). They all turned out so cute even though the lady taking the pictures was awful!!! Good thing our kids are so dang cute and the pictures were free. Here are the best ones from each kid.

Logan's T-ball Season

In Riverton they do a fall baseball season. It is only a couple weeks long but so fun. Logan played in the t-ball division and loved it. He has a great coach (and Wife) and awesome kids on his team. We got to know a bunch of the and now I know why Jessica (BF from forever with 5 boys and a husband that coaches baseball for UVSU) has so many friends. Logan is good at baseball and usually hit the ball the farthest (brag, brag, brag) and he knew it. We all took turns bringing treats and when it was Logan's turn he picked cookies and yoo-hoo. Next year he gets to be in coaches pitch and I think he will even like it more.

In this picture Logan thinks he is Babe Ruth. Yes he is calling his shot. He is saying out load for all to hear "I am going to hit the ball over that fence." He was a little short.


Here he is playing first base. This is the position that gets the most action so they have to take turns and it is a big deal for each kid. He did pretty good alway remembering to touch the base before throwing the ball to home plate.

Bear Lake

Over Labor day my cute little family went to Bear Lake. We stayed in a hotel in Blue Water marina and had a great time. The Kids were in heaven playing on the beach. We even rented a boat one day. Aubrey was tired and did not enjoy the boat so much. There was a sail boat race going on while we were on the water and it was amazing to watch.

Logan Started Pre-School

Logan started Preschool the middle of August. He is going to Challenger (yes, the private school) this year after much debate on where to send him. I am positive that we have made the right choice. The schools way of teaching is amazing. Just today day we had this conversation.

Logan - Mom, do you know how many vowels there are?
Mom- You tell me.
Logan - 5, and they are powerful.
Mom - Why are they powerful?
Logan - They have 2 sounds.

Then he pretended to be Luke Skywalker and the conversation was over. Very impressive if I do say so myself.

Logan's Birthday

Logan's Birthday was last week. September 7 in fact. He had such a great weekend. We went to dinner with Kori & Brad and their kids (Jacob's birthday was August 30th and Sadie's Birthday is September 8th) and My mom and Max for a triple birthday celebration. The Bunderson family gave Logan a blue hockey stick, a chore chart and a CD.

Than Saturday night My mom and Max came and stayed at our house. We went to dinner again and ended the night with Birthday cake and ice cream. I will tell you Wal-mart rocks the cake department. They had a HOCKEY cake. Logan flipped!

My mom and max let him open his present from them before bed (so he wouldn't be toy overloaded in the morning). They gave him all the Scooby-doo action figures and the Mystery Machine van that they all fit in. He loved it!

The next morning he woke up to a room full of balloons (I put them there after he falls a sleep. If you ask him when is your birthday he will say "when there are balloons in my room".) I video taped this but forgot to take photos. He and Aubrey were in kid freak out mode pulling all the strings down then watching them go back up and hit the ceiling.

It was such a great day we took his presents out on the lawn to open them. Scott had just gotten back from NY and bought him a NY Jets uniform (Pants, shirt, helmet) and football. He has wanted a football helmet for a while and was so happy with it and so cloths that he didn't care about. He also asked for moonsand and so Aubrey gave him that along with an etch-a-sketch.


We took him to breakfast at IHOP where they sang him Happy birthday and he hid under the table. When we got home our neighbors John and Laura stopped by and brought him a present. He was so happy to get a nerf gun with darts and a license plate for his bike that had his name on it. He kept naming off all his presents saying he got everything he wanted. So proud that his wish came true.

Then later that day after lunch and naps we went to the State Fair. Logan loved the goats, rides and games. We all had fun.




After all this he started crying. When we asked what was the matter he said (through tears) "If I go to sleep it won't be my birthday any more and it has just been a great day and I want my birthday to be tomorrow to". Well he got that wish also, because my BFF Barbra stopped by the next day with a present (Scooby-doo and Tom & Jerry movies). Spoiled rotten Kid!!!
